The Kiwanis Club of Burlington erected this building
in memory of
Henk Hasert came to Burlington in 1975 to be a Plant Engineer for the Nestle Company. From his native Netherlands he brought a love for the game of soccer. This, coupled with his interest in the well being of young people, resulted in the Kiwanis Soccer League and soccer as an interscholastic sport at Burlington High School. Henk's love of the game and perserverance [sic] in getting things done has given our community an activity that will benefit the youth of Burlington for years to come.
The kids, the community and the Kiwanis say,
"Thanks Henk, we are fortunate you came our way."
Dedicated 1996
