I recently went to Normandy and laid a rose at the cross of Ernest L Hetke, was a very moving experience to hear the story of all the fallen heros and see the area it all took place. Our French tour guides along the way always thanked the Americans for their efforts in helping them in the war efforts, without the help of the allies, it would have been a very different world.
