This white pine log has been here placed, through the initiative of Fred
R. Stru??e  and Jackson Bros., with the assistance of H.W. Johannes and others as a
memen of the old days when billions of feet of like timber was standing in this
vicinity. A count of the annual rings of growth show an approximate age
340 years. Over one thousand of inch lumber could be cut from this log.

The white pine log is located on the grounds of the Price County Courthouse and is accessible from southbound North Lake Street, at its intersection with Balsam Street, at our near 126 Cherry Street #201, Phillips, Wisconsin 54555.
