In Memory of
Dale J. Patterson (1948-1998)
Dale, friend and protector of the environment, was a nationally respected water quality engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. His vision, leadership and dedication were instrumental in restoring the Fox River ecosystem that now offers world-class fishing and recreation. Dale was also a husband, brother and father to DeAnne and Matt.
Dale, we miss you.
The memorial is located at St. Francis Park on the east bank of the Fox River, and is accessible from a small parking log on southbound Riverside Drive / Wisconsin Highway 57, about a half mile south of its intersection with Grignon Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54301.
NOTE: There is no parking at the marker location on the Fox River Trail. You will need to park at a small parking lot on Riverside Drive (see photo below) and hike a quarter-mile to access the entrance to St. Francis Park.
