Jacksonport, Door County, Wisconsin

Built in 1887 by Nugent and Krock, this original vintage building has served many people in interesting ways. It was an early meeting place for the Jacksonport Methodist Church, and for the Good Templar's Temperance Society, and a place for school plays and picnics. World War I veterans used it as a social hall. It also served as the Jacksonport Town Hall and polling place and as the Jacksonport Community Club Center. Presently it is the Town Hall Bakery and Cafe.
The marker is located at Town Hall Bakery and Cafe on southbound Wisconsin Highway 57, between Onan Drive (to the north) and Lake Shore Road (to the south), at or near 6225 WI-57, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin 54235.
