"The narrative for Milwaukee portrays a cross-section of the city and surrounding area: the lighthouse on Lake Michigan, a Great Lakes freighter, a grain elevator, city building and houses, a farm house, cow, and farm couple."

The marker is located on the UW-Milwaukee campus and is accessible from eastbound East Hartford Avenue, east of its intersection with North Maryland Avenue, at or near 2311 East Hartford Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53211.


The plaque is visible on the bottom of the pillar to the left.
With the Golda Meir Library in the background.
