Francis Ariens
July 26, 1909 - February 2, 2000
Founder of Ariens Company
Francis was the youngest of three sons who worked with their father, Henry, as pioneers in the organization of Ariens Company. Francis held several positions in the Company until he retired in 1985. He worked in Manufacturing, Human Resources and was Vice President of Parts and Service. In 1983 he was honored for his contribution in building one of the industry's best service training centers in Ariens Company.

One of Francis [sic] most prized responsibilities was to lead the efforts of the Ariens Foundation from its inception, [sic] in 1967, until 1999.

After more than six decades as a member of the Board of Directors of Ariens Company. Francis retired as Director in 1995. Francis was a man of integrity, loved by his peers for his quiet strength and gentle spirit. Throughout his business and life, he stood for quality, consistency and fair dealing.
The marker is located at an Ariens historical display on located on northbound Main Street / County Highway PP, at its intersection with Calumet Street, Brillion, Wisconsin 54110.

A giant tree rendering photography difficult in 2016 has been removed;
the park has a more open feel, and looks much better.
