The Cadotte Family Tree

Jean Baptiste Cadotte, descendant of Mons.
Cadotte, married a native, Anastasia Equawaise,
Oct. 28, 1756, by Fr. Le Franc S.J. at Michillema-
Kinak. Died 1803.

Michael Cadotte Sr. born 1764
Married Equawasay or Madeline
daughter of Chief White Crane.
Waubiajijuak, Awaise Claim. Died 1837

Mons Cadeau (later changed to Cadotte) came to the Okibway Country
with Rev. Claude Alouez, S.J. in the train of the French envoy Sieur de St.
Lusson, at Sault St. Marie, in 1671.

The original of this Family Tree is the
possession of Annie Ermatinger of Jim
Falls, Wisc. who celebrated her 86th
birthday on April 13, 1974.

The marker is located at Riverside Park on Park Place Road, at its intersection with southbound Wisconsin Highway 27, Cadott, Wisconsin 54727.
