This tolling bell originally hung on a dam near Prairie du Sac, WI. and was manned by "Cap" Dinsmore, (father of Lee Dinsmore) during World War II to warn against flooding or sabotage. It has been donated to our cemetery by Lee and Perk Dinsmore to be used to toll the arrival of the deceased into our community cemetery.
The tolling bell and marker are located at the Elcho Community Cemetery on westbound County Road K, between Wisconsin Highway 47 / U.S. Route 45 (to the west) and Sunset Road / Jacobs Road (to the east), Elcho, Wisconsin 54428.
