The Totem Pole

Photographed December 11, 2014
Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin

Mystical, Awesome, Goulish . . .
Seemingly Purposely Foolish

Northwest Coast Indian Style is Used to Call Attention
to the Potawatomi Indians' Significance to Muskego's
History. Remote References to Their Appearances, Habits
and Customs are Found in the Raven, Chief's Wife, Beaver,
Chief, Sunfish, Muskrat, Bear and Frog.

Who Can Read a Totem Pole?
Anyone who can read a mind, or read weather signs
in the clouds . . . but RECOGNIZE would be a better word.
