Club Omreau Lanes Building     1900/1950
120 W. Main Street
The original left-hand portion of this building was built as a saloon between 1900 and 1913. When the larger bowling alley portion to the right was added in 1950, the new main facade was extended across the front of the older building as well, creating the excellent late example of the streamlines Art Moderne style that we see today. Typical features of the style are the curved glass block side walls that flank the main entrance and the neon it handing sign, but the real treasure is the interior, which is still in almost totally original condition. The building is located within the Omro Downtown Historic District.
The Club Omreau Lanes Building and marker are located on eastbound West Main Street / Wisconsin Highway 21, west of its intersection with Jefferson Avenue / Wisconsin Highway 116, at 120 West Main Street, Omro, Wisconsin 54963.
