This monument is dedicated to our
Finnish ancestors who settled on the
Gogebic Range. They came to work as
 miners, farmers, woodsmen and merchants,
and brought with them a cultural and
tradition that future generations can
proudly proclaim: This is ours to
have forever.

Dedicated 1996
